Theater Arts Degree
The theater arts degree program was created to equip and develop students for a career in theater arts. It will help students nurture their creativity, as well as help them explore different mediums of expression. The theater arts program is created to integrate different practices and theories into performances and big projects. By participating in theater arts, students will benefit from engaging in all kinds of different expressions and also will be able to take part in understanding theater arts in a deeper sense. There are several different sub-sectors of the theater arts degree program, for example, bachelor's in theater arts (performance), bachelor's in theater arts (solo performance), bachelor's in theater arts (theater directing), and bachelor's in theater arts (design and technical theater). The first mentioned, performance, is based around studying the body. Students will study the voice and the direction of it. The solo performance degree is a program that will focus on just that, solo performance. Some examples of solo performing is stand-up comedy. Instead of the performer being a supporter, the performer is the sole originator. The theater direction BA degree is a program for students who want to focus on theories, practices, and the aesthetics of theater directing. Students will be able to nurture their skills in a challenging environment. Lastly, the design and technical theater program will help students who want to challenge themselves in the areas of design and it's processes. Colleges are now offering programs online because of the time efficiency and demand in number of students wanting to partake in classes. Online theater arts degrees are one of many that students are looking to pursue.
