Getting a psychology degree means you will be taking classes that educate you on the human persona and brain. You will know the ins and outs of why we think the way we do and also some training on diagnosing certain ailments. You will want to specialize in a certain area of clinical psychology including forensic, health, child, educational, human services, marriage counseling and behavioral psychology. There are a ton of careers in psychology such as becoming a behavior analyst, case worker, counselor, employment counselor, family service worker, and other officers that deal with helping people. If you want to do therapy, the bachelors is your first step but you will want to continue your education with at least a master’s in psychology and really aim for a psychology doctorate to become licensed.

The US Dept. of Labor states the psychology field is set to increase around 15 percent in the next 5 years, average with most other fields of work.
