One of the more popular degrees for aspiring business majors is a finance degree. With this, you are specializing in the finance market, meaning banking, stocks, and stock analysis. Many finance majors choose to focus on corporate finance, planning, analysis or general finance administration. Some become traders and brokers, others work under a corporation or other entity performing derivatives, equity fixed income research, market sales, public finance and other brokerage tasks. There is a plethora of positions a finance major can apply for so the possibilities are endless.

The US Dept. of Labor reports the field for finance majors will increase 16 percent in the next 5 years, about average as any other career. This could be because we are in an economic downturn, so it may be rapidly growing as well as the economy fares better.
