An engineer works with science and math to create things. Most engineers develop problems to technical problems like building better airplanes and making more efficient cars. Engineers are usually specialized in their field, such as agricultural engineering, computer hardware engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering and mechanical engineering. Each type has a different responsibility, like a civil engineer could be building tunnels, bridges and dams where as a mechanical can work on airplanes for Boeing.

The US Dept. of Labor reports the engineering field will grow nearly 20 percent in the next 5 years.
