In the past couple of weeks we made the switch to Piwik analytics software. Previously we tried out other solutions, but none of them met our demands for a rigorous online education information site. Mainly our webmaster team asked for a program which could store all metrics data on our own servers (for security reasons) and also one that was fully customizable to get every ounce of useful data from each report generated. We were hesitant at first when using Piwik, but soon were shocked at how this amazing open source program exceeded all our previous expectations of an analytics software. We got in touch with the developers to ask them some questions about the widgets and they responded kindly, helping us out immediately.
