Online Fine Arts Degree

Fine Arts Degree

The bachelor of fine arts degree is considered to be the standard for any students pursuing a formal education in the arts. The program for obtaining a degree in fine arts can be varied depending on each student's fortes. A student may choose to focus on mostly visual arts (i.e. painting or photography) or they can focus on performing arts (i.e. theater or dance). Fine arts degree courses and classes within the field of fine arts also vary, but generally stick with topics such as fine art history, theory, criticism, 2D and 3D arts, and also – in our technologically advanced age – digital art courses as well. For the fine arts, there are three different degree programs that can be taken. First is the associate of fine arts (AFA) degree. AFA degree courses are taken at a 2 or 4 year college or university and are built to prepare students for more rigorous courses taken for obtaining a bachelor fine arts degree. Second, as you may have guessed already, is the bachelor of fine arts (BFA) degree. But because of everyone's demanding schedule, many students are now resorting to online programs because it offers convenience and time management.  This is the next step in formal education in receiving more in-depth instruction and teaching on how to define students' creativity and develop more skills that will eventually aid them in getting jobs or freelancing upon graduation. Online fine arts degrees (BFA) will qualify students to getting jobs such as actor or director, art or dance teacher, or perhaps a job in art therapy. Last is the master of fine arts (MFA) degree. The MFA program can lead to higher-up positions such as becoming a curator or a costume designer or even into the online PhD in fine arts. The masters of fine arts program is designed to refine all the skills acquired during previous AFA or BFA studies.
