Argosy University
Argosy University started as three schools back in the 1970’s. It consisted of American Schools of Professional Psychology, Medical Institute of Minnesota and the University of Sarasota which in 2001 joined to create what is now known as Argosy University. Other than the online campus, Argosy has 18 university locations around America and they commit themselves to aiding students in their careers. They focus on teaching practical forms of training which is developed by the Socrates Distance Learning Technologies Group. Each student signs on to an advisor, faculty mentor and has to check in with career services.
Accreditation
Argosy is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The HLC is recognized as a standard accrediting agency by the US Dept. of Education. Argosy offers financial aid to those who qualify as well.
